After the wind
drops.

Everything on the east coast that isn't kitesurfing — the beach parties, the food markets, the dive trips, the scooters, the spa. Curated by Paje, because they live here.

The rest of the day

The east coast after dark, and in between.

Paje Kitesurf is a school, but it's also the front desk for what else you might do on the east coast. The team has been here for years — they know which night is good at which bar, which captain to trust for a sunset sail, which spice farm has the best cloves, which masseuse comes to the villa.

You can treat this page as a menu. Point at a thing, message them, they'll organise it. Some items are free to book directly on your own; others need the local contact to avoid the tourist tax. Either way — ask.

On the water
Boats, fish, reefs
Dhow sails at sunset, snorkeling at Mnemba, scuba at the drop-off, fishing boats with a local crew, sunset bay trips, jet-skis for the guests who want them.
On land
Spice, stone, markets
Food-market walks in Stone Town, spice-farm tours in the interior, forest walks, village visits. Scooter rental for the ones who want to go where the taxi won't.
On you
Spa, henna, slow mornings
In-villa massage (shiatsu, Swedish, deep tissue), full-day spa at a partner resort, henna in the evening, a barber for the brave. Yoga on the beach if someone asks.
The weekly party

Each night, a different room.

The east coast runs on a rotation — one bar hosts Monday, another Tuesday, and so on. The list below is Paje's standard schedule; it shifts in low season. Ask at the school for the current week.

Monday
Coral Rocks
Cliff-top bar south of Jambiani
Tuesday
Summer Dream
Beach-front, walkable from most villas
Thursday
Demani
Live DJ night, usually the busiest
Friday
New Jambo
Paje-local crowd, on the sand
Saturday
Commando · B4
Two venues, one walk between them
Sunday
Red Monkey · Vuvuzela
Sunday session, slower start, long ending
Practicalities

How this works on the ground.

How to book
Most items are organised via WhatsApp. Tell Paje what you want and when; they'll quote a price, handle the booking, and arrange transport if needed. Single-name activities (spa, henna, scooter) usually ready same day. Boat trips and dive days want 24 hours' notice.
Typical cost
Small stuff (henna, scooter rental, evening massage) from $10–$40. Boat days and dive trips $60–$200 per person. Spa at a partner resort $80–$150. Spice-farm tour with transport ~$35. Everything quoted up front; cash preferred.
Ramadan & holidays
Zanzibar is predominantly Muslim. During Ramadan, beach bars operate quieter and some close early. Eid and national holidays shift the party schedule. Paje knows; ask when you arrive.
Getting home
Taxis on the east coast are informal — your driver's number is usually more reliable than any app. Paje can arrange taxis to and from any event; the villa can book you a driver for the week if you prefer.
Plan with Paje

Message them, say what you want.

Because "fun and more" means different things to different guests, there's no price list — you tell Paje what you want (a dive day, a spice tour, a massage at seven), and they handle it. Mention YapYap and they'll coordinate with the villa.

Third-party activities are booked by Paje at local rates — you pay them directly. Cash accepted in TZS, USD, EUR, GBP. Party schedules shift week to week; confirm the current list on arrival.
